My name is Mr. D’Angelo……I like to dance….
Just a silly quote from my kids favorite TV show, Yo Gabba Gabba. I love my job and the challenge it presents every day to relate what I am teaching to my students everyday life. I have been teaching at Eisenhower for 16 years now, boy has time gone by fast.
I am married to a beautiful hygienist, Mandy, who works all the way out in Novi. That makes for some stressful drives, especially when the snow begins to fall. I have 4 wonderful kids, Drew (13 years old), Alyssa (6 years old), Gianna (4 years old), and Jimmy (1 year old).
I am a product of the City of Sterling Heights and have lived there my entire life. My education began at Havel Elementary with some of the best teachers in the school district. Many of them went on to become principals or administrators. I attended Sterling Junior High, which is now called Bemis. I finished up my public school experience at Henry Ford II High School where I played baseball for 4 years. I was blessed to be accepted by The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where I doubled majored in Communications & History, with a minor in meteorology. I had to decide between being a TV weatherman or teacher and teacher won out. I finished up my education by receiving my Masters of Arts in teaching from Wayne State University. I always strive to give back to this community which has given me so much. I enjoy coaching youth sports and am the Chairman of the Board of Zoning Appeals in Sterling Heights.
