Students had to submit either a project or an essay for a grade today. Students spent the first half of class playing the review games they created and the second going over Frankenstein questions that will appear on the exam. It is very important that all students are in class tomorrow to take the district common assessment. Remember this will count toward your final exam grade.
Mrs. Fisher explained the end-of-the-year project/essay option. Students were shown samples of board games former students created in the past. Students were given the hour to work on their project or essay.
Unit tests were passed back. Students were given an opportunity to tally up their points for the Survivor Challenge and begin working on their final projects and/or essays.
Students submitted their review worksheets (characterization, literary elements, and theme) and then took the unit test over Lord of the Flies. After the test, they were instructed to organize their assignments for the unit to prepare for the final tally of points in class tomorrow for the Survivor Challenge.
Students in 3rd hour checked the Chapter 12 guided reading questions and turned in them in for a grade. They also went over the review worksheets, which will be collected tomorrow. Students in 6th hour chose to socialize all hour. They are responsible for studying on their own at home.
Students were given time to answer Chapter 12 guided reading questions and complete the review worksheets due Monday. Students also completed the district writing common assessment, which will also graded. It was collected at the end of the hour. Students who were absent need to complete this at home and return it by the end of this week.
If you still have a textbook or a school-issued copy of a novel or play, you must get them scanned in or you will be fined. Textbooks are scanned in at South Center. Plays and novels are scanned in at East Center.
Students checked Chapter 11 guided reading questions together as a class. Students were given the remaining time to read Chapter 12 and complete the guided reading questions.
