We just listened to Bradley Whitford read, Wilford Gordon McDonald Partridge by Mem Fox.

Discuss and then write about friendship: What are the qualities that make a good friend? How do you choose a friend?

Tell me about what you read during silent reading. Give me the name of the book and some details.

Mrs. Zombo came into our class today and showed us all the wonderful things that are on the  BrainPop Jr. app for iPads. The students wrote the passwords to BrainPop Jr. into the front page of their agendas. BrainPop Jr. is available 7:30am – 5:30 pm. Our subscription is paid for during the school hours (it can be used during Winter Break). There are free movies that are available on BrainPop during all hours. Try this great App at home

Friday was an exciting day in our classroom! Everyone received their Ipads and we had a great time exploring. We will spend the next two weeks learning how to use the ipads, passwords, emails and the rules.  After that they will start coming home. Earbuds or headphones are recommended. Watch for some sales at the stores.

This week is a 2 day week. Students have class Monday and Tuesday only.

spelling test tomorrow and Math worksheet due.

By 3rd grade it is expected that students have memorized their basic addition facts up to 9+9. It is very important that this concept is secure. We will be beginning multiplication soon so it is imperative that addition memorized.

No School today! Remind everyone to vote!

1/2 Day today! While students had a chance to enjoy this beautiful day. Teachers were exploring all the wonderful apps that we will be able to use on the ipads.

Tomorrow is the first day of the MEAPs. Please make sure you get a good-nights sleep and have a healthy breakfast in the morning! I’m sure all my 3rd graders will do fantastic!
