Second grade celebrated Thanksgiving early with our annual Thanksgiving Feast. Everyone brought in a baggie full of cut-up vegetable and we added them to our one-pot turkey soup. Parents sent in stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn muffins, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pies. We also made our own butter that morning. What a great culminating activity to our month long unit on Colonial Days. A HUGE thank you to all of our wonderful parents who sent in food and came in and helped out.
