October 31, 2011: Book Orders

I sent home the October book order forms today. If you would like to order, please send back the money and slips by Friday, November 4th. Don’t forget that you can order on-line. It’s quick, easy and safe. Also, each on-line order earns us a free book for our classroom library. In December, at our Christmas party, we will be doing a book exchange. Students will each need to bring in a new, wrapped book valued at $3.00-$5.00 to exchange. This is a great chance to buy a new book for the exchange and help out our classroom library. If you would like to order on-line just click on the link below and use the code. THANKS!!!!

October 29, 2011: Hello Axtell, Texas!!!!

I am so happy to announce that we will be doing a video conference with Mrs. Lange’s class from Axtell Elementary. They are second graders from the small town of Axtell, Texas. We will be reading a story and then decorating a turkey at home next week. On November 22, we will be meeting them via video conference to share our turkeys and find out more about where they are from. I made this slide show a few years ago to share with another school that we did a video conference with. I just finished updating it and I decided to post it on here. Mrs. Lange’s class will be visiting our blog to view it.
