April 8, 2012: Jelly Bean Graphing

Before break, we did a fun activity with jelly beans. We started off by getting a cup of jelly beans. Then we sorted them by color on a jelly bean mat. Next we had to count how many of each color we had and then colored it in on a bar graph. Then, we had to write fractions for how many of each color we had. Finally, we got to eat them….yummy!!!

April 8, 2012: Mystery Reader

Before we went on break, Sophia’s sister Sydney came in to be our Mysery Reader. Sydney was a student in my class last year, and everyone was really excited to have her read to us. She read a wonderful book called There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick. She also brought us each a chocolate heart sucker and an Easter activity booklet. Thanks Sydney!!!
