April 16, 2012: Poetry Contest
Did you know that April is National Poetry Month??? To celebrate, Eisenhower is having its annual poetry contest next week. On Friday, your child should have brought home the information on our classroom poetry contest. Everyone must find a poem, at least 8 lines, and memorize it. Students will recite their poem in front of the class on April 20th. This is a required assignment and everyone must participate. Don’t forget, you can dress up and use props that go with your poem. We will be having the school poetry contest on Thursday, April 26th. We will send 2 students from our class to the school contest.
