Last Friday we read Balloon Farm for our book treasure book. Retelling sheets and envelopes are due by Wednesday this week. If your child would like to leave their retelling here as a comment they may do so and just write “blog” on their retelling sheet.
This week we read Super Supper for our book treasure book. Today, your child should have brought home a retelling sheet, their envelope and a little snake. This is a great book for sequencing events. Students can retell the order that the snake ate the animals. Sorry, I couldn’t find a recording or video of the book…..so, you’re on your own this week! Don’t forget, if you would like to leave your retelling here, just click on comment and don’t forget to write “blog” on your retelling sheet. Retelling sheets are due by Tuesday.
Watch this video about plant parts. Leave a comment here and name 4 parts of a plant and I will give you ten Eagle Bucks tomorrow!!
Don’t forget to check out our classroom weebly. I just added three new iPad projects that we did in the past two weeks. We made a Popplet for our Spring Is poems, a Screenchomp for our Earthday acrostic poems, and a Popplet of a character web. Just click on the picture below and it will take you to our weebly. For future reference, there is also a link to it on the right hand side of this blog.
Today, your child should have brought home their spelling pretest. Please help your child study these words for the test on Friday. They should have also brought home their spelling homework. This week’s skill is working with “surprise words’ or tricky words. Please make sure your child does one of the activities listed on the sheet with the words. Please sign the top of the paper and return it to school by Friday. If you would like to play some games with this week’s words visit Spelling City, just click on the picture below.
