Monday: March is Reading Month logs due for weekly prizes and to earn attendance to the school’s pie eating contest. Please make sure to sign the log next to or under the week. Today is the last day to order the book that we are having published. Even if you are not ordering, please check off “no”, sign, and return it tomorrow.
Thursday: Thursday is a half day due to conferences. Dismissal will be at 12:00.
MONDAY: Reading logs are due for prizes. Books Are to be Read Day, wear red to school.
TUESDAY: Slip Into a Good Book Day, wear your slippers at school. Gym, don’t forget to wear/bring your tennis shoes.
WEDNESDAY: 2nd Trimester Math Test, don’t forget to study.
THURSDAY: March book order forms are due. Published book order forms are due by today. Read my Shirt Day.
FRIDAY: No school, records day. Because of the shortened week, we will not be doing a spelling unit this week. Since there is no school on Friday, One Minute Fluency sheets are due on Thursday.
Our Book Treasure book this week is There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover. Today, your child should have brought home a retelling sheet, their envelope, and a shamrock. Retelling sheets are due back to school by Tuesday. If your child would like to listen to the story again, they can watch the video below.
This week, we picked a book out of our book baskets and we wrote about the beginning, middle and end of the book. We used an app called Story Kit. We took a picture of the beginning, middle and end of our books. Then we wrote a few sentences to describe each part.
