3-6-15: Book Treasure Book

Our Book Treasure book this week is There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover. Today, your child should have brought home a retelling sheet, their envelope, and a shamrock. Retelling sheets are due back to school by Tuesday. If your child would like to listen to the story again, they can watch the video below.

  1. There was an old lady who swallowed a clover, she didn’t roll over when she swallowed the clover. There was an old lady who swallowed a dandelion. There was an old lady who swallowed a butterfly. There was an old lady who swallowed a bird. There was an old old lady who swallowed a pot. There was an old lady who swallowed some gold. and at the end she danced and a leprechaun joined her and she laughed so hard, out popped a rainbow.

  2. There was an old lady who swallowed a clover, a daisy, a butterfly, a bird, a pot, a gold and a fiddle then she start to dance then the leprechaun joined her, she was laughing and giggling to much then every thinks went out, the leprechaun took the clover. Happy St. Patrick day.

  3. There was an old lady who swallowed a cloverleaf. She swallowed a bird, a pot, gold, a butterfly, a guitar and then she started dancing when a leprechaun joined in on the fun. The old was giggling so much that she popped out a rainbow which had all of the stuff that she swallowed.

  4. An old lady swallowed a clover and she didn’t roll over. An old lady swallowed a daisy to make the clover bright. She swallowed the butterfly to land on the flower. She swallowed the bird to be with the butterfly. The old lady then swallowed a pot to carry the bird who was gliding with the butterfly. Then the lady swallowed some gold to fill up the pot. She still didn’t roll over. There was an old lady who swallowed a fiddle, it’s a riddle why she swallowed fiddle but she and the leprechauns started to dance. As they danced she laughed so hard that a rainbow popped out of her mouth. Happy St. Patrick’s day.
