May 1, 2010: Lauren’s Book Review

Hi, my name is Lauren. The book I am talking about is Cam Jansen and the Mystery at the Monkey House. Cam Jansen is a fiction book at the Fraser Library. The author of the book is David A Alder. The illustrator is Susanne Notti. It is about a lot of monkeys that got lost. The chapters go from 1 to 8. In the book you all know that there is usually Cam, Eric and Danny, but in this one there are Cam, Eric, Danny and Billy. I love this book because this is the first book that I had ever read about Cam Jansen.

Hi, this is Brooke!! I just read this great book, Sea Starby: Maggie Henrey. This book is about how some horses find some lost ones and care for them. You may find this book at Borders. I give this book 5 stars*****. This is a historical fiction that is half true and half not. I like it because it has very good details.

Hi, my name is Anthony. The name of the book I read is Bats. I rate this book 5 stars*****. I found this book in Mrs. Short’s class. This book is about bats and their lives. Baby bats live in nurseries. Some bats are the size of a bee and some are as big as a cat. The author’s name is Carolyn MacLulich.

April 29, 2010: Kaileigh’s Book Review

My book is The Field Day From the Black Lagoon. What happened in the story is that they were going to have a field day and it kept getting tied up and then they lost. I liked this book because it had cool stuff in it. I give it 5 stars*****. You can find this book in Mrs. Short’s room, 503. The author is Mike Thaler and the illustrator is Jared Lee. April 29, 2010: Ashlee’s Book Review

Hello everyone, this is Ashlee. I just read a terrific book called Wind by Ron Bacon. It is a non-fiction book about wind. It’s telling how wind is made and how it is so strong. This book can be found in Mrs. Short’s class in Eisenhower Elementary School. It has lots of true illustrations. So if you would like to learn more about wind, pick this book up and read!!! I give it 5 stars*****out of 5 stars.

April 29, 2010: Abigael’s Book Review

Hi, this is Abigael. I read this really good book called Fox at School by Edward Marshall, pictures by James Marshall. It was a chapter book. It was about Fox and his classmates and they had a fire drill. They have to slide down a slide but Fox and his teacher are afraid. But then the principal came and told them they had to come down. So Fox went down first then Miss Moon! I give this book 5 stars *****! You can find this book in Miss Short’s class.

 

April 26, 2010: Sample Book Review

Hello Everyone,

This is Mrs. Short and I just read a terrific book called Earth Day, by Linda Lowery. It is a nonfiction book about Earth Day. It starts out telling about how the first Earth Day came to be and how after that, things went back to the way they were. Then, in 1990, they decided to have a second Earth Day and we have been celebrating it ever since. It also talks about all the things that we can do to help our planet. This book can be found in Mrs. Short’s classroom. It has a lot of facts in it and I loved the illustrations. So, if you would like to find out more about Earth Day, pick up this terrific book and start reading!!! I give it 5 out of 5 stars *****!!!.
