March 24, 2014: Spelling~Unit 21

This week, we are working on Unit 21 in Spelling. Today, your child should have brought home their pretest. Please help your child study for the test on Friday. Spelling homework also came home today, don’t forget that it is due back by Friday. This week’s skill is working with putting words in alphabetical order. March 11, 2014: Spelling~Unit 19

Today, your child should have brought home their spelling pretest. Please help them review the words, our test will be on Friday. Spelling homework was also sent home today. This week’s skill is working with contractions. Don’t forget that spelling homework is due back to school by Friday. This week we are working on Unit 18 in Spelling. Please, don’t forget to visit Spelling City to play some games with this week’s words. Also remember, our spelling words are recycled, which means they are used over and over throughout the year. This week’s spelling skill is working with digraphs. A digraph is when two letters come together to make a new sound. If you would like to play a game with digraphs, just click on the picture below to get to the website. Spelling homework is due by Friday this week.

Here is a fun game that I found on another blog about four years ago, and I’ve been posting it on my blog every year since. It’s called Guess the Number. You pick a number and the computer will guess it, pretty cool!!!  If you would like to play the game, just click on the picture below and it will take you to it and you can try it.
