Classroom Information
ALLERGIES: Please let me know as soon as possible if your child has any allergies or other medical condition that I should be aware of.
RULES: On the first day of school, the children along with myself came up with our classroom rules. These rules incorporated our 3R’s. Every child will be expected to follow these rules. I use a colored card system for discipline. We also use incentive charts, along with Eagle Bucks and Smile tickets.
BIRTHDAYS: Feel free to send in a birthday snack on or near yoru child’s birthday. Please contact me either by phone, e-mail, or a note in your child’s green round trip folder to set up a date. If your child has a summer birthday, check with me and we can set up a day in May or June to celebrate it.
COATS & THINGS: Please write your child’s name on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that you send to school.
VOLUNTEERS: Please don’t be shy when it comes to helping out in our classroom!!! We would love to have your help. We do centers Monday-Thursday while I am doing Guided Reading groups. I love to have parents come in and help with centers on these days. It usually is for about an hour in the morning. I could also use volunteers for run copies and do laminating. I also like to do some Math games out in the hallway on Fridays. This would be with a small group of students. It doesn’t have to be everyweek, it could just be once in a while. Just let me know when you are available and we can set something up.
ROUND TRIP FOLDERS: Everyday your child will be bringing home their green round trip folder. This folder is what your child will use to bring home any important notes and homework assignments. Please use this folder to send back homework and any notes for me or the office. Please help your child go through this folder every night and take out papers that need to stay at home.

Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I
guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any suggestions for rookie blog writers? I’d
certainly appreciate it.

Hello,
My only advice is just do what you can with the time that you have. My own kids are older, so I have a lot of spare time in the evening to work on my blog. Don’t stress, it should be fun!!!
