Mr. Austin's Class

Thanks goes out to all the parents and students who came out to conferences over the last couple days! It was really nice to sit down and talk with all of you! Keep up the great work being parents and guiding them down the right path. Kids, keep up the great work you’re doing at school. There are so may things you should be proud of yourselves about!

Day 2 of conferences is this afternoon and tonight. I’m looking forward to meeting with everyone I didn’t get to see yesterday today!

Bloggers! Sorry for the long wait. Cody here with Video Game Guru. Today I’m going to talk about comments. Today’s game is Star Wars the Clone Wars for Nintendo DS. There are some really cool things. You can defeat hard bosses in really smart ways. Also collect Holocrons and force crystals. You may also select a jedi. Some are Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi-Wan. You may also unlock costumes for them. To find out more, GET THE GAME!!!!!!

Hello, it is me Alyssa again. Like right when we came in we went on a bus and we where on our way to the High School we where going to see a play called Fool’s Mr. Austin told us that it was really funny! So when we got there we had to wait a little just standing before we went in the auditorium then Mr. Charland came and told use to come in the auditorium so everyone came in we sat down and we had to wait only 20 minutes or so the play was about these town and it had a curse on it and everyone was stupid in the town and so this teacher came to the town to teach them and to try to break the curse at first he did not believe in curses but then he did so when he meets the first person he see’s he dose not know his name. Then he meet’s more people like the mail man and the butcher and Dr. Zubritsky and Lenya Zubritsky and so they let him in his house and Leon Tolchinsky (the teacher) had to teach their daughter. Sophia and he feel in love with her and the person who put the curse on the town ( Gegor Yousekevitch ) keep asking Sophia to marry her but she did not no what love is so when Leon asks Sophia to marry him she say’s yes and then when the day they get married Gregor try’s to break them up! But then when Leon and Sophia actually get married the curse disappears and everyone is smart and they have a education! I love the play and it was so awesome I would love to see that play again! ( :

DON’T FORGET CONFENCES TOMORROW!

The weirdest  thing happened in class today. We started writing about details and using them in our writings and this…this…person came rollerblading in our room, knocked over some papers, shouted anti-Red Sox comments and then left. I’m glad you were all paying attention to the lesson on details in your writing and got a good look at him! Nice job 5th graders!

Don’t forget we are going to see Fools tomorrow at FHS. Be sure to wear something a little nicer to school that day and be on time!

Special congratulations goes out to Abi, Sean, and Trevor for representing not only our school but the fantastic 5th graders in room 603! The team consists of Nick K., Catie, Matt B. Hello, it’s me Alyssa again ( : when we came in we went straight to Heart  when we came back 45 minutes  later we did a time for kids and then we did a worksheet to go with it. After that we did a little bit of social studies we read about 3 or 2 pages in our social studies book and then we watched a video to go with it I really liked the video it was interesting and exciting too. When we finished our video we went to recess and lunch. Our teacher Mr. Austin came back from a meeting so we had a sub in the morning. Then we took a social studies quiz on our clicker’s and we had to do something with the clicker’s so when we turned it on our names would show up on the top of them.  Then we watched the annocement on the promethean bored. Then we went out side for second recess for about 10 or 15 minutes. When we came back we got to work on our homework if we did not finish it or we could talk quietly at our seats but we had to stay at our seats. Then we got our mail and back packs and then the bell ring and we went home. ( :

DON’T FORGET TO BRING IN YOUR MONEY FOR THE PLAY. Also there is a skating party tonight.
