Ira Sleeps Over- Souvenir Bit

Our Souvenir Book for the week is Ira Sleeps Over by Bernard Waber. The students will be bringing home their souvenir bits today. Just like last week, you are welcome to leave your child’s response as a comment under this blog post. If you choose to submit the homework via blog, just send back the homework sheet and write “blog” on it so I know it was completed. Ira wants to bring his teddy bear to a sleepover at Reggie’s house but he is afraid Reggie well laugh. Then he finds out that Reggie has one to.
Ira and Reggie were neighbors and they decided to have a sleepover. Ira wanted to bring her teddy bear to Reggie’s house for the sleepover but her sister said Reggie would make fun of her for having a teddy bear. So Ira did not bring it, once they were at the sleepover Ira saw that Reggie had a teddy bear too. During the sleepover Ira said she would be right back, she had to go get something at her house, Reggie wanted to know what it was but Ira would only say it was something. Ira went to her house and got her teddy bear and when she got back to Reggie’s house to show him her teddy bear, Reggie was fast asleep with his teddy bear. Mackenzie said that this story was nice because it shows that you should not be afraid of what people think and this made me very proud!
Ira is going to go to a sleepover at Reggie’s house. He wants to bring his teddy bear but his sister tells him Reggie will laugh at him if he does. When he and Reggie are talking about the sleepover, Ira tries to ask Reggie what he thinks about teddy bears and Reggie never answers him. When it is time for bed, Reggie’s takes out something furry and it is a teddy bear. Ira goes back to his house and gets his teddy bear. Ira’s sister tells him again that Reggie will laugh and his mom and dad tell him he won’t laugh.
Ira and Reggie’s were a friends, Ira wants to sleep over Reggie’s house, Ira wants to take his teddy bear with him but his sister told him that Reggie’s will laugh at him if he took his teddy bear with him, but his mom and dad told him no he will not laugh at him, but Ira was afraid to take it with him so he went to his friend to sleep over without his teddy bear, but at night time Ira saw that Reggie had a teddy bear also, so he went back to his home and get his teddy bear went back to Reggie’s house and both of them went back to sleep.
