  1. Chester was scared to go to school and his mom said don’t be scared. She gave him a kiss on his hand and she told him to press it to his cheek when he missed her. Then he went to school in the night and he was happy because he knew if he missed his mom he would have her kiss in his hand and his mom missed him too but the owl said Chester loves you.

  2. Mackenzie told be about the Kissing hand this evening, which is a story that we have read many times before. Chester the raccoon was afraid to go to school, he was going to miss his mom. So Mama Raccoon asked for Chester’s hand and she kissed it and closed Chester’s hand to hold the kiss in. Mama kissed his hand so that when he was sad or scared he could take his hand to his check or his heart and know his mom was with him. Now that Chester had his mama’s kisses in his hand he was able to go to school and not be scared.

  3. Chester was afraid to go to school because he was going to miss his Mom; his Mom told him ‘you will like school’. She took his hand and kiss it in the middle, and told her son to hold on to the kiss, so when he feels that he miss his Mom he will know that his Mom is always by him because of the kiss, so after that he went to school and had fun.
