Bailey Goes Camping- Souvenir Bit

This week’s book is Bailey Goes Camping by Kevin Henkes. The students will be bringing home their souvenir bits today. Just like last week, you are welcome to leave your child’s response as a comment under this blog post. If you choose to submit the homework via blog, just send back the homework sheet and write “blog” on it so I know it was completed. Baily was a little bunny with an older bunny sister and brother. Baily wanted to go camping but her brother and sister said it was not fun and she was too little maybe when she was a bunny scout. Mama bunny came up with an idea that Bailey bunny could go camping right at their house. So Bailey was able to go swimming, fishing, have hot dogs and marshmallows all while at her home. The best part was that Bailey got to go to sleep underneath all the stars in the sky. Bailey enjoyed all the camping activities.
Bailey cannot go camping with his brother and sister because he was too little. His brother and sister told him, it is not going to be that fun, you only can sleep in a tent, you can go swimming, and you can sleep under the stars and eat hot doges, and best of all you can eat roast marshmallows. So his father and mother told Bailey that he can do camping at home and do everything campers can do, he did camp at home with his parents and sleeps under the stars.
