Souvenir Bit- Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

This week’s book is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst. The students will be bringing home their souvenir bits today. Just like last week, you are welcome to leave your child’s response as a comment under this blog post. If you choose to submit the homework via blog, just send back the homework sheet and write “blog” on it so I know it was completed. It all started when Alexander woke up and had gum in his hair then he tripped on his skateboard when he got out of bed. Then he accidently dropped his sweater in the sink and it got wet, then he got smashed in the car on the way to school and all Alexander wanted to do was go to Australia. The teacher said the other kid’s picture was better and that Alexander was a loud singer, then after school he had to go to the dentist and they found a cavity. The day just kept getting worse it was a terrible, horrible no good very bad day. After the dentist he got his foot stuck in the elevator door then his brother made him fall into mud and then his other brother called him names so Alexander hit him and then he got in trouble for being dirty and hitting his brothers. Then at dinner he had lima beans and he hates lima beans and then he saw kissing on TV and he hates kissing on TV. Then at bath time he got soap in his eyes, and had to wear pajamas he does not like. Then his night light broke and his mom said sometimes bad days happen even if you go to Australia.
Alexander was having an awful day. He went to sleep with gum in his mouth and it got in this hair, he tripped on a skateboard, he got his foot stuck in an elevator, had a cavity and the dentist said he was going to pull his tooth next week, but Alexander decided he was going to move to Australia. The bad day kept happening, his brother pushed him in a puddle of mud, his mom yelled at him because he punched his brother. Alexander really wanted to move to Australia to get away from the bad day, but his mom said there are bad days even in Australia.
Alexander had a very, very bad day, he had gum in his hair, his brother bushed him down in the mud, he had cavity, his foot got caught in the elevator door, he drew invisible castle, his brothers found something in their cereal boxes and he found nothing, they went to buy new shoes Alexander wants the black and white shoe but the man said it is sold out so Alexander had to get the plain white shoe, he saw a kissing in the T.V and he does not like that, he had a lima beans for dinner witch he does not like, he had to take a hot bathe and his marble went down the drain, he had to wear his train pajamas he does not like it, so Alexander wanted to go to Australia so he can had a good day his Mom told him bad day can happened any were
