  1. Ethan loves doing the Souvenir Bits. Every Thursday as soon as he gets home from school he wants to tell me about the book that week. It’s fun to hear him re-tell the story.

  2. I’m so glad! I love doing it with them, so I’m happy they enjoy it too:-)

  3. These are a wonderful way for the kids to reflect upon some of the great stories they read this year, and a way for them to make connections to other story themes. I think this will also be a great motivating tool for reading/writing this summer. Thanks for a fun activity!

  4. What are souvenir bits?

  8. The Kissing Hand was about Chester the raccoon was afraid to go to school, it was his first day. His mom gave him the kissing hand and then Chester felt all better. The kissing hand was when his mom kissed Chesters hand in the middle of the palm,

  9. The starbelly sneachs thought they were the best and they never let the planbelly sneachs in on any of their games and parties. One day a man came and he tricked the sneachers. The planbelly sneachs went through his starbelly machine and the starbelly sneachers didn’t like it because they couldn’t tell who was who. Then the man had them go into his take off starbelly machine. They kept going through both machines. Then all their money was gone. At the end they all figured out it doesn’t matter if you have a star or not. They all got along and played together.

  10. Sorry! You were quicker than I was. I forgot to add the post:-)

  11. the once-ler came to a beautiful place out of town. there were lots of animals and truffala trees. the once-ler started chopping down truffala trees to make something out of the top. he built a factory and called all his friends and family and once the last truffala tree was cut down and the lorax was lifted away, all that the once-ler saved was one last truffala seed.
