Earth Day Clean Up

On Thursday we went outside to clean up the school grounds. The kids had a great time picking up the playground and making the Earth a better cleaner place to live!!

Poetry Contest

Mystery Reader

Last week we had our final Mystery Reader of the year!! Joey’s mom came in and shared a story with us.

If you would still like to come in and read to the class just let me know and we will find a date and time!!!

Math test-We will be testing on Unit 7 on Monday. The children came home with a review sheet last week. Unit 8 focuses on measuring, area and perimeter.

Henry and Mudge Play-Our field trip is quickly approaching, Monday, May 3rd. Please make sure to send in the $5.00 to cover transportation costs, if you have not done so yet.

Autism Hat day-your child may wear a hat in school on Friday with the donation of $1.00.

Poetry Contest-The children did a great job in the classroom with the poetry reading. I was very proud of the children that took the time to memorize and practice their poem. The two children representing our class will recite their poem on Wed. afternoon-all parents are welcome to attend.

Welcome back from spring break!!  I wish the weather was a little nicer while we were off.

POETRY CONTEST-Don’t forget to hand in the poem you selected for the poetry contest on Tuesday! It has to have a minimum of 8 lines and be memorized for our class poetry reading by Friday. If you want to be considered for the school poetry contest just let me know!! Top two performers/poem readers will participate in the school-wide poetry contest on Wed. April 21st.

LANDFORMS TEST-We pretty much finished up the landform unit before break. I will send home a study guide for the test on Monday and the test will be on Thursday.

MAPPING UNIT-We will finish off the month of April with a 2 week map skills unit.

EARLY RELEASE DAY-we have an early release day on Thurs. April 15th.
