Treasure Books

Last Friday we decorated our Treasure Books. A Treasure Book is a place where we can write our thoughts and dreams!! Together we made a list of all the different things we could write in these very special journals. The children were very excited to personalize these books!!

Treasures of Room 101

Last week the children shared their Book Treasure boxes!! Everyone did a wonderful job!! Every week I read a story and the children will get a small trinket to remind them of the story. The children will retell you the story at home and write about it on the Book Treasure response form. Book Treasure forms are due back to school on Mondays!

Book Treasure-If You Give a Pig a Party

Last week we read the story If you Give a Pig a Party.

If you give a pig a party, she’s going to ask for someballoons. When you give her the balloons, she’ll want to decorate the house. When she’s finished, she’ll put on her favorite dress. Then she’ll call all her friends — Mouse, Moose, and more. The little pig from If You Give a Pig a Pancake is back, and this time she wants to throw a great big party! Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond have created another winning story for this beloved character in the tradition of the best-selling If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
