Deep and Dark and Dangerous

Mary Dauhning Hahn’s Deep and Dark and Dangerous is about a girl named Ali who finds a picture of  her mom and her aunt at a cottage.  There is a girl torn out of the picture. Ali goes to Maine with her aunt and cousin to where the picture was taken and she is determined to find out what happened to the girl in the picture. Then her cousin Emma finds a girl named Sissy and Sissy wants to ruin Ali’s summer.

I liked the book because it was mysterious and you didn’t know what was going to happend next. I would like to read more of her books.

About Reading Notes

This blog is maintained by the sixth grade students of Mr. O'Neil's language arts classes at Iroquois Middle School in Macomb, Michigan. We want to share our love of reading and also provide a place for students who "can't find anything to read!" to explore what kids their age are liking, hating, or just kind of "eh!" about. In addition to our own reviews and conversations, you can find links to book lists maintained by the American Library Association, and the International Reading Association. Now go read a book!
