We recently finished our Energy Transfer Unit.  One of the topics that was covered was magnets.  The students had an opportunity to make a magnet game.  There games were awesome!  The students had an opportunity to try out each other’s games.  Which game was your favorite?

We have been learning about electricity in science for the past week.  We built circuits and tested a variety of objects to see if they were conductors or insulators.  We also made switches for our circuits using aluminum foil.  What is the name for a circuit that has a switched turned on and what is the name for a circuit that has a switched turned off?

Today during science we were discussing the distance between the Earth and Moon as well as the size comparison of both objects.  We mentioned that Apollo 13 was 2/3 of the way to the moon when one member of the crew said “Houston, we have a problem.”  What was the problem and what was the solution?
