Thank you for the birthday wishes! We’ve had a great year!

Did you know that Dr. Seuss would be 107 this year? What is your favorite Dr. Seuss story?

  3. Dear Blogging buddies,

My class has a little science club on Wednesday. Each time we go on Wednesday after school we do 2 diffrent things. We do all the things in a medium sized room. Where do you do your science projects? What one was your favorite? and how many have you done? My favorite was macking valcanoes. My class has done about 10! We all enjoyed our projects cant wait to do another. We all hope to see you soon. Bye!

    Your Buddy, Lizzy

  4. Dear Techie Kids,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I can’t believe Techie Kids are a year old. I thought it was only a couple months or at least 5 years. I guess I was wrong.
I think the little girl in a picture is really cute.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dr.Seuss! I can’t believe your birthday is back again. Today in computer class Mrs.Moore had a The Cat in the Hat t-shirt and The Cat in the Hat slippers. Everyone really liked it. I did too.

My favorite post so far is’ Skyping with 2KJ. I do not have that big of an idea to share with you right now but for Techie Kids I think you should maybe put up a post saying” can you ask your friends to go on Techie Kids and to see whats it like.

    Sincerely,

    Angela

    • Dear Angela,

Thanks for leaving us a fabulous comment!

I think the little girl in the picture is really cute, too! But, most mommy’s think that about their kids. 🙂 That is my daughter, Gabrielle, at her first birthday party in November. She had green frosting everywhere!

I agree, the “Skyping with 2KJ” post is great! They are such a wonderful group of students. We all enjoyed learning so much from them.

      Keep up the great work!
      Mrs. Moore

    • Dear Kara and Alexis,

Thanks for leaving us a message and wishing us a Happy Birthday!

I’m glad you are having fun commenting. 🙂 You should try visiting one of our blogging buddies and leaving a comment for them, as well. I do think it is quite amazing that all 50 states have visited our little blog! It would be fun for us to visit a blog from each of the states, too. What do you think?

      Your teacher,
      Mrs. Moore

  7. Dear Techie Kids
    Happy Birthday to your blog!
Our blog turned 1 on the 17 February and we were really excited too.

I was reading your About Us and wondered – is this a blog for the whole school to add to , or just for one of the grades?

You have lots of interesting links on your blog, so I will be coming back to read more!

    from Mrs M♔Kenzie

    • Dear Mrs. McKenzie,

Thank you so much for leaving us a special birthday comment! How fun to realize we’ve been blogging the same amount of time! This is a blog that the whole school has the opportunity to contribute to. Typically, my 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are the students who comment. I have worked in more of a whole group setting for commenting with my 2nd graders. Unfortunately, I only see each class for 60 minutes, once each week. So, I never seem to have enough time for them to correspond the way that I’d like them to. Still, the potential benefits are so amazing that we just keep plugging along and doing the best we can with what we’ve got!

We hope to hear from you again!

      Have a great day!
      Mrs. Moore

  8. Happy Birthday to You!
You have obviously all worked very hard at creating such a wonderfully enthusiatic blog. I was told by my sister that Dr Seuss taught me to read. Now as an adult my favourite Dr Seuss book is ‘Hooray for Diffendoofer Day’, it says a lot about education in my country.
I have a page on my school blog called ‘Questions and Photos’. It is a twist on an idea from Mrs Yollis’… project 365. I would like to know more about your local area and perhaps the students could do a weekly post and some questions to help people … even from your own country (it’s so big) to learn more about where you live.

    Congratulations … make a cake!

    • Dear Mr. E,

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Dr. Seuss is absolutely a favorite around here. We have shared some local images on our Welcome Quad Bloggers post. One of our favorite summer spots is Comerica Park. We watch our local baseball team, the Detroit Tigers, play there. Thanks again!

      Your buddy,
      Mrs. Moore

  9. Dear Mrs.Moore,

I recommend the book How To Train Your Dragon.I don’t know the author but I think it is a very good book.It is a fantasy book about dragons and a boy named Hiccup who get’s into a lot of trouble. You haft to read the book’s in order or you will not understand them at all and there is seven book’s.I like how it has a lot of action in it and I like the characters in the story and the plot of it.

  10. Dear Noah,

Thank you for sharing your book recommendation. I haven’t read How To Train Your Dragon. I might be interested in this book because the fantasy genre is fun to read. I also like action and adventure stories. 🙂

    Your teacher,
    Mrs. Moore

Thank you for the kind words and nice birthday wishes!
I agree that commenting is super fun! We started blogging last March as a way to show what we were learning in Technology class. We didn’t know how many wonderful things we were going to learn! My favorite memory is thinking about all of the wonderful classes we’ve met around the world, like yours!

I do know the baby in the picture! She actually lives in the same house with me. That is my daughter Gabrielle at her first birthday party. 🙂 I thought that would make a fun picture because she was also one.
