Mrs. Hembree is the incredible librarian for the Bulldog Readers in Washington, USA. Her vast knowledge of children’s literature is reflected in her highly informative blog posts. Even though Mrs. Hembree has 400 students, she still makes time to contribute valuable comments to classroom discussions. Her passion for student learning is evident and a welcome addition to the blogging world! Mrs. Hembree, You Rock!

I am happy to nominate Mr. Eldridge for his work on behalf of his students. He is the Head Teacher at Hawes Community School in England. Mr. E works tirelessly ‘round the clock collecting ideas and friends along the way. He is constantly popping up in classroom conversations in different parts of the globe. His comments are always a favorite of the Techie Kids. Thanks for all that you do to flatten the classroom walls for all of the students you interact with!

Best use of audio/visual/podcast


Mr. Avery is a 6th grade teacher in Massachusetts. Our students have really enjoyed the Math videos that he has created with his students. We have learned many new concepts because of their sharing. Each video is engaging and inspires us. Many of the Techie Kids have been writing and editing scripts for their own videos because of the example Mr. Avery’s class had set.  Thanks for the fantastic ideas and excellent resources!

Mr. Salsich teaches 3rd grade in Connecticut, USA. As soon as you visit his blog, you can see that this is clearly a community learning space. It is obvious how much time and heart are put into each post. Not just by Mr. Salsich, but by his students as well. This class takes ownership over their learning. It simply amazes me that every single post is so well-crafted and valuable.
I only wish that I had teachers like Mr. Salsich when I was in school. I feel so grateful that my students can share in their awesome learning adventure as they welcome us through blogging!
