Don’t Let the Bear Drive the Model T!

Inspired by the amazing Mo Willems’, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, this book takes a Michigan twist. Henry Ford asks the readers to watch his Model T and remember,

Don’t Let the Bear Drive the Model T!

  1. Dear Techie Kids

I love the book. I have written a book with my class before about endangered animals. Next year you will write an abc book .

I haven’t read the original story Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. Now I think I will.

  2. Dear 4th Grade Techie Kids,

The EBook was hilarious! I counted 13-15 excuses.

  3. Hi Techie Kids!

Your book is very funny! It is one of the coolest books I have ever read! Your creativity was amazing. I wonder how to make an eBook.

I like the pictures and how you made them by yourself! I have never read the origional ”Don’t Let the Pidgeon Drive the Bus” Now I want to read it.

  4. Dear 4th Graders,

That was a great book that you made. It was very funny. I had a lot of fun reading it. I haven’t read the “Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus” book yet, but I think your “Don’t Let The Bear Drive The Model T” book is better than that book. You put so much imagination and time in your book it couldn’t be better than it is right now.

Your class should make more books like this one. You could make a Don’t Let The Giraffe Fly The Helicopter or a Don’t Let The Elephant Eat The Cheeseburger. There are so many more funny books that you can make. It just takes a little time and effort.

  5. Dear 4th graders,

The book you made was so cute! I loved reading it. How did you come up with “Don’t Let the Bear Drive the Model T?” The artists are really talented and the authors are really great! I’ve read Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the BUs before and many other pigeon stories. Aren’t they funny? I think you should make another one called Don’t Let the Dog Bake Some Cookies or something like that.

  6. Dear Jack,

Did you wirte a book before? I have it was about different kinds of animals. I liked the ideas for the books Don’t Let The Giaffe Fly The Helicpter and Don’t Let The Elephant Eat The cheeseburger. Did you have the idea to make one of your ideas come to life by making the books?

  7. Hello Mrs. Moore and Grade 4 Techie Kids,

What an amazing book you have written. I can see the bear was really keen to drive the Model T but he wasn’t allowed. I think you left us wondering what the next adventure might be in the bear’s future. Would it be called, “Don’t Let the Bear Fly the Helicopter?”

Your post had me thinking and that can be dangerous. I ended up writing a post for you and a short rhyming story entitled “Don’t Let the Cow Drive the Whippet!”. Here is a link…

    • Dear Mr. Mannell,

Wow! Thank you for your compliment! We feel very happy that you liked our book. We worked very hard on it. Mrs. Moore kept laughing when we all told her the words to our story! She thought it was pretty funny. 🙂

We can’t believe someone in Australia read our story! We are very excited to read your version of our story. We will go read it right now!

      Sincerely.
