We’ve been on Winter Break this week. It snowed for a couple of hours, but that’s about all. Tonight we have our first official storm of the season brewing. I wonder if we’ll have a snow day tomorrow..
While the Techie Kids are enjoying a short recess, I thought I would share a few wonderful websites with you. Give these a try and let us know what you think.

This week we can have some fun with Garfield. Try out the Comic Creator to build your own Garfield comic strip. When you visit this WOW, you can also click on the “comics” tab to read Jim Davis’ creations. You can search the comics by keyword, date, or just scroll through the comics by pressing the PREV. (previous) tab.
If you want to have some more fun with comics, try Read, Write, and Think’s Comic Creator. Scroll through the characters and props to illustrate your story.
Tell me which features of each Comic Creator you liked the best.
If you played any games, let us know what you recommend.

I hope everyone is already having a wonderful summer!
As promised, here is your first WOW, or Website Of the Week.
This one can be found on Math Playground. Try it out and let me know what you think.
We have used this website at school, but I found this specific game through http://moturoa.blogspot.com/
You should visit their class blog and see what’s happening in New Zealand.
What strategy did you use to create an interesting pattern?
Are there any other websites on Moturoa’s Blog that you’d like to recommend?
