Forrest here, this week Mr. Alvaro, is having us memorize this cool poem. It is by Shel Silverstien. It’s a long one but we can do it.
You can listen to a bunch of us say the poem at the end of this post.
My dad gave my one dollar bill because I`m his smartest son
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters cause two is better than one!
And then I took the quarters and traded them to Lou
I guess he didn’t know that three is more than two!
Just then came along old blind bates and just cause he can`t see he gave four nickels for my three dimes because four is more than three
And I took the nickels to Mr. Alvaro down at the seed feed store
And the fool gave me five pennies for them and five is more than four
Then I went and showed my dad and he got red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head too proud of me to speak
Hey everyone it’s me Amy with The Skinny and I have some stuff to tell you. So kick back relax and just read on.
There is no spelling packet this week. We will not be having a spelling test on Friday.
Before I tell you anything I want to know what you did over the weekend so hit the comment button and start typing.
Well first we are having a relay 4 life program going on. So if you want to know more information talk to Mrs. Carlson.
Next, McDonald’s night is tomorrow so you better ask your parents if you can go.
The mom 2 mom sale is this Saturday. If your going you’ll probably see Mr.Alvaro with Mrs.Alvaro selling food.
Next week will be the spring week so the hours will be changed.
Well that’s all I have for today. Thanks for reading! Bye!
