Little did I realize in 1997 when I got my son Jake his first Harry Potter book that Harry would still be around 13 years later and just as popular as ever, Harry that is not Jake, although Jake is a pretty popular guy too, anyway I digress…

Since we are on summer vacation
(although I haven’t had a day off yet, Mrs. A has kept me busy.)

I found this cool site on Mrs. Short’s blog the other day. It’s called Picassohead.
Pablo Picasso was a really famous Spanish sculptor and artist who painted and created all kinds of interesting artwork.
His full name was Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Crispiniano de la Santísima Trinidad. Which is probably what his mother yelled at him with when he was at trouble at home.
He’s famous for painting pictures like this one.
Anyway here is a neat site that allows you to paint like Mr. P. Here are two pictures I created. One is of Emma and the other is Julia.

Hey everyone it’s me Mike M. Again and this time I’m going to tell you about a book named Ordinary Boy.It’s about a boy that lives in a town where everyone has a power except him.So he tries to save everyone to prove himself.
My favorite part is when Stench , Ordinary Boy,and invisible girl confront Dr.Brain Drain.The series continues in books 2 and 3.You can get a copy at the local library.See you for now! Have a fun summer vacation bye!

Mr.Alvaro i was thinking what if someone could post a wall so everyone can tell about their summer break over the summer.Then we could all talk over the summer to each other.

Emily brought in a $2 bill the other day. When she was looking at it at home she discovered the cool picture on the back of it of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
She brought it in to share with us. She remembered seeing the picture in our history book.

We had a couple of visitors from the past the other day. They were a married couple from the small outpost of Detroit who came to town to trade for furs.
They did a great job explaining life a lot time ago.

Hey it’s Jesse and here’s the Tigers Beat.
The Tigers didn’t play yesterday but they got a break because the Twins lost.
Today’s pitching match-up will be Armando Galarraga playing Gavin Floyd. I wonder if he’s going to pitch a no hitter today?

Well, Ethan finally decided it was time to be born and Friday and 6:00 he came out to meet his Grandma and Grandpa.
He was 8 pounds, 7 ounces and 21 inches long.
