THE 5TH BEATLE

I don’t generally like to talk much about my past but a long lost photo has recently surfaced and people are asking me lots of questions about it so I thought I would set the record straight.

Back in the early 60′s I got a chance to go to England for a while and while I was there I met these four lads who played in a band. They were pretty good and they asked me to play with their band. I did and loved it but I missed home so I bid them a great future and came back home.

I lost touch with them and I don’t know if they stayed together as a band after I left them but I hope they did well. Here’s a picture I took with them just before I went home.

Living the dream as a 5th grade muisician (in the 5th grade band). Here is today’s spectacular news and live from Chesterfield it’s Friday.

1. Camp permission slips were due today, but if you forgot you can bring it in on Monday.

2. NO TRADING! I know it’s fun to trade BeyBlade parts but you can’t do it anymore.

3. Have a great weekend I know I will because I’ll be celebrating the new baby Annabelle!!!

Hello it’s me Courtny with today’s Thursday news

1. Autum is taking Mr.Phil home this weekend watch out Autum I bet he will clean out your pantry so good it will shine.

2. Camp forms are due tomorow and even if your not going still turn them in.

3. Mrs.Berguland made an announcement this morning that if you bring in any toys you can’t trade them .

4. Today we heard book reports and here are a few of the people who did there’s today Chris, Kristen, Nathan, and Noah. Good job you guys.

Well here is a little riddle if 8 people were under 1 umberella who gets wet.Come back to my post on Tuesday to get the answer.

It’s hello again from Angelica with today’s news.

1. In gym we are playing my favorite sport VOLLEYBALL!! I love volleyball because it is a very competitve sport and I love making calls.

2. We played a really cool game with our 3rd grade buddies.

3. Camp permission silps are due FRiDAY.

4. Today I went to a Student Congress meeting. We do a lot of cool stuff their. Today we wrapped cookies and we got to test them.

THE ANGRY RED PLANET

We have been talking a lot about why other people left their homes never to return. It must have been pretty easy for some to go and pretty hard for others to leave their families behind.

I want to pose this question to you. Let’s say it’s the year 2045 and you’ve been chosen to be among the crew for the first manned mission to Mars. There are 300 people going. It’s going to be a great adventure and you will be forever famous.

There is just on hitch. You are not coming back. Because of how far away Mars is and how slow our rockets are it would be impossible for you to make it back. In addition to that the people at NASA want you to start a colony there. To be the first and get Mars ready for others to come.

So I have two questions for you. Would you go or stay? Hit the button and vote.

1. Our spelling test is Friday. The spelling words are in your agenda and on the Skinny.

2. Tomorow we will here book reports from Angelica, Justin, John, Britney, Jack, Donald, Jordan,Deja, alexis, Kayls S. So be ready and don’t forget your props, costumes, and a smile.

3. Great job everyone else who did book reports today here is a few of the people that we heared from me, Parker, Alyssa, and Cory. I really liked Sierras.

We’ve just finished up chapter four and discovered why those Europeans decided to explore the New World Columbus accidently bumped into. We also discovered what new technologies they used to get there and what products they brought back.

Now it’s time to show me you understand what we were talking about by putting it all together into a letter that you have written your mom and dad.

You are to write a one page letter in which you:
*Ask how they are and explain how you are.

* Explain why you wanted to go to the New World and did you accomplish what you set out to do.

*Tell about one new piece of technology that helped you reach your goal in the New World.

*Describe and sketch the one item you brought back to Europe to sell and then show your friends.

You can be a soldier, sailor, priest, captain, captured indain or another person who would normally be on such an adventure.

My class last year did this project. If you want to hear some of the awesome letters they wrote click here.

Start with your rough draft, have a couple people proofread it and hand in the final copy Friday.

Typewriters weren’t invented for another 500 years yet so this one is hand written.
