We are finishing up our writing unit on being an expert. Students have added text features such as how-to’s, diagrams, fun facts page and a sheet on many of the same thing.

Music concert is on Thursday night! The kids have been practicing very hard and I can’t wait to see it all come together.

Book Treasure-Stone Soup

This week we read the story Stone Soup. Three strangers, hungry and tired, pass through a war-torn village. Embittered and suspicious from the war, the people hide their food and close their windows tight. That is, until the clever strangers suggest making a soup from stones. Intrigued by the idea, everyone brings what they have until– together, they have made a feast fit for a king!
