International Dot Day

Today was Dot Day! We read the story The Dot.  It’s a wonderful story about a little girl named Vashti who does not believe in herself. Her art teacher believed in her and taught her how to make her mark on the world. She in turn passed it on to a little boy and taught him how to believe.  After reading the story we discussed how we could make our mark on the world. We made our own dots and used an iPad app to bring them to life in 3D. We also made our own dot stickers, dressed with dots and enjoyed a dot treat at the end of the day.
