Random act of kindness will continue through out the year. We wrote letters to a navy squadron with our 5th grade buddies. If you would still like to send something in for the care package boxes please do so by Thursday. I’d like to mail the boxes out Friday. Thanks for your generosity.

March is reading month will kick off at the end of the week. The first activity will be green eggs and ham Monday March 2nd to celebrate Dr. Suess’s birthday. Look for more information about the month to come home.

Troy Museum

Take a look at a short video of our trip to Troy Museum. The children had such a good time and learned so much about life in the past.

There are many more photos that would not fit in the video. Please go to our weebly to view all photos of our trip!

Line Dancing

Today we had our dance party incentive. Students that met the goal in January were able to participate in this fun activity. Every month we have a behavior incentive for the students to earn. This month students need to turn in their homework on-time to participate in BINGO.

Measurement matters

This week we started our measurement unit in science. In groups, second graders traced a body and then measured different parts of their body such at height, arm or leg length, hand and feet. One of the thing we are beginning to notice is that accuracy matters!
